I had a pretty sucky $2 muffin on Saturday. I took a picture of it, with my lovely iced hazelnut latte in the background, and I can't even bring myself to post it. It was a really disappointing muffin.
There's something about coffee from a coffee shop on a weekend morning that seems to call out for a baked good accompaniment. I have yet to find a coffee place in town that sells something that isn't dry, slightly stale-tasting, and utterly blah. I guess what I'm saying is, if you're partial to the scones at your favorite coffee shop, let me know where you go.

I like the scones at Black Dog on 87th St, just east of Pflumm. The coffee's pretty good too.
