West Coast Bound

We're off to watch two lovely people get hitched on top of a mountain in beautiful Lake Tahoe. I can now cross Lake Tahoe off of my "Places To Go Before I Kick The Bucket" list, which is very exciting, and I will also be able to cross leaving the little guy off my "Things That Make Me Terribly Nervous" list. It's a two-fer!

Anyhow, I've heard that they have delicious things to both eat and drink out Tahoe way, and if you have any recommendations I'd be happy to hear them, print them out, and then eat them.

We always stop at the Apple Cafe just past Placerville for regular ol' American food.

Placerville itself is pretty cute - they have a cool old hardware store there, and a candy store with jalapeno fudge.

Have a great time!

It depends on what part of the Lake you are staying at. If you are around stateline then check out Chart House on Kingsbury Grade (?). Is it a steak and seafood place but last I was there they had an excellent (and VERY reasonably priced) caviar and champagne dinner/buffet. There is also an Irish pub on the CA side in Stateline, across from the Heavenly gondola (which is also a cool area) that has some great live music and the friendliest service ever. Enjoy your trip!
